I know I usually leave the story to the photos but this one is worth the characters that will occupy a couple of minutes of your time.
The plan was to leave the city and go someplace cooler (air temperature) so we thought that 2292m above sea level should do the trick. We ended up arriving late in Buşteni, the waiting line was considerably long for the cable car but by our initial calculations we could go up, have a look around and take the last car before closing time.
Air tight plan, right? There were a bit of clouds and the weather forecast could have predicted a bit of rain but hey, it`s August, and how bad could it be.
Went up there, great place, lots of people, a lightning here and there and some thunder, about 10 degrees colder than 1300m below, the perfect place!
After about 10 minutes of walking around and having a snack, also while joking around regarding the rain, it started to pour, well… not pouring at first but surely soon afterwards
That was the time we decided that we should take cover someplace, the hale was getting pretty intense. For about 30 minutes we kept an optimistic point of view waiting for the sun to come up, the other 4 and a half hours after that, we spent those soaking wet, along with 200 others waiting for the cable car in a place that was missing windows, room temperature of about 10 degrees, wondering if we were going to sleep at the cabin or if we would see the car to take us back.
Luck was on our side this time, there it was.
First and most important conclusion after that, never pray for rain if you`re not up to the challenge! Second, always have some nice dry socks on you, you`ll never know when you need them!
